Elizabeth Powell

Elizabeth is currently the Hunterdon Chapter’s President, (acting Communications Director, Program Director, Social Media Director, & Secretary (Phew!)).  In one capacity or another she has served on Boards or volunteered in organizations to help women find their true selves.  A firm believer that women MUST empower other women to grow she jumped when asked to join the Leadership team with BW NICE, Hunterdon. “It’s such an amazing organization that not only raises money for what I truly believe needs even more awareness but does so while fostering a positive dynamic with women in business.”

As far as what she does for a living? “I feel that what I do came out of an absolute need to find something to do with my life that impacts people’s lives and the lives of those they love. To help others in a meaningful way. There was a time when I thought climbing the corporate ladder was what I was meant to do but I ended up dreading what I once loved, because the culture changed. It ended up making me sick…I came home after working 12-hour days and brought the stress home to my family. Sure, I was “succeeding” at work, but every other facet of my life was suffering.”

So, Elizabeth left the high stress job and decided to start her own business. The Happy Snacker was her first. A successful Healthy Vending business which she has recently sold (March ’22) to dedicate herself fully to what she now knows to be her true passion: Coaching others on their journey to better health. “Helping others, especially women, find that spark that may have been lost while juggling careers, motherhood and being a wife. Health is not just about what you eat or how you look. It is much more than that. It is the feeling that when you wake up every day and are in tune, throughout the day, your energy is not dependent on that third latte.

What we do, should be what we love. Feeling good, ENERGIZED and NOT exhausted at the end of the day, NOT bringing home the stress of our day job. It is possible. It absolutely is possible….” Most people think they come to me to lose some weight, but they eventually learn that it is not the physical they need to lose but the mental weight…and that journey never stops…and the side effect of truly digging into your mindsets and old patterns of coping? Oftentimes its tremendous success shedding physically what our brain manifested…for good…no more yoyo because rather than applying band aids, you went to the source…”
