Q: What is BW NICE?

A: BW NICE (Business Women Networking Involving Charity & Education) is a unique business women’s networking organization that provides women at all stages of business and personal life with support, education and resources. We see value in the balance of business networking and charitable outreach. In addition to our monthly networking meetings, each BW NICE Chapter raises funds and brings about domestic violence awareness by supporting local women’s charities in the fight against all domestic abuse.

Q: How did BW NICE start?

A: Founder, Diane Simovich, established BW NICE in April 2009 in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. Patterned after a successful program she developed, launched and nurtured in California, Diane had a desire to connect with like-minded business women in the community after a number of personal hardships brought her back to her New Jersey roots to be near family.

Q: What are the key features of BW NICE?

A: BW NICE encompasses three key elements: networking, education and charity. Business Networking – BW NICE builds a support system of professional women who provide assistance and guidance to each other and to those in need. By networking, women build friendships, learn ways to grow and develop their business, gain access to a group of talented professionals and have fun. Education – BW NICE and its members share best practices and methods for building a successful business and career. BW NICE brings in speakers to offer instruction, motivation and encouragement to its members. Charity – BW NICE brings together its diversity and talents to help benefit other women in the community. Each BW NICE Chapter partners with a local domestic violence charity organization in the fight against domestic violence and sexual abuse. Our flagship charity event, The Red Shoe is the Chapter’s main fundraising program raising funds and domestic violence awareness within the community.

Q: What are the requirements of membership?

A: BW NICE offers a membership program that allows members to enjoy exclusive benefits and cost savings. The annual cost is $150 and provides a number of value-added benefits including preferred pricing to all events. A: Yes. We actively pursue partnerships with our business community.
