Discover How BW NICE is Beyond a Networking Organization

July 5, 2021

Since 2009, our organization has blossomed into 17 active chapters throughout  New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Besides offering monthly networking meetings and events, which includes an enriching education segment, our membership organization also partners with domestic violence agencies in each region to help raise donations and awareness.

We recently reached out to our members and asked them to share their personal experiences on why they became a part of our growing organization.

“I’ll never forget the feeling that I had when I attended my first BW NICE meeting in 2013. I was physically, mentally and emotionally energized by all the women in the room who had come together to network and support such an important cause. I had been to networking meetings in the past and had never felt comfortable. I left my first BW NICE meeting knowing I had found an organization that I wanted to be a part of and I’m proud to say that I have been an active member since that time. I have met so many wonderful, business women who I now call my friend. I’ve used their products and services and love the personal connection we have when conducting business with each other. I’ve worked alongside my fellow volunteers in helping to raise money for our local charity partners and felt a tremendous sense of satisfaction when being able to present the organization with a sizeable donation. BW NICE is so much more than a networking organization, it is truly a sisterhood!” —Debbie Weiss, State Farm Insurance

“I love being part of BW NICE. I joined during the pandemic, and the monthly meetings were a great way to connect with other professional women. I recently chipped my windshield, and instead of calling my dad–I was directed to another BW NICE member who helped me out! My dad was impressed that I took care of this myself! I look forward to meetings in person in the future, because I love connecting with so many inspiring women throughout the state. This group has given me many professional partners and dear friends.”— Mindy Fry, Director of Patient Relations and Network Development at Serenity Hospice Care

“I attended my first BW NICE meeting in February 2020. The charity component to BW NICE sparked my interest in the organization because it aligned with my personal development goal of becoming more involved in overlooked and widespread social issues like Domestic Violence. I immediately felt myself connected to a community of like-minded professionals, focused on supporting each other. My initial experiences inspired me to join the organization as a member and take on the Program Director position on the Mercer County Chapter’s Executive Leadership Team. This role has afforded me the opportunity to engage with members across the organization and give them a platform for sharing their business practices and expertise at our monthly meetings.  During the pandemic lockdown, BW NICE quickly adapted it’s format to a virtual program, which helped me to safely create connections with women from all over NJ and PA and was a key element in helping my business move forward. This organization has provided me with a network of female business owners who are not only resources for myself and my business, but also for my clients.”—Sneha Salgam, Edward Jones

“Being part of BW NICE has become part of my life. The positive energy is contagious. The meetings and networking events motivate me in so many different ways and inspire me. I have developed great friendships and have made business connections all at the same time in a fun, educational environment. To top it off, we do all this while giving back to the community. This feeds my soul…this is why I enjoy being part of BW NICE.”— Jessica Dale, Personal Lines Account Executive at EA Boniakowski Insurance Agency
