BW NICE Bucks County Chapter Hosts Donation Drive Thru for its Charity Partner, A Woman’s Place

On Sunday, May 16th, the BW NICE Bucks County Chapter and Univest held a donation drive for A Woman’s Place, Bucks County’s only domestic violence organization. During this event, BW NICE leadership and members, Univest employees, Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Fox and Roach realtors, and Central Bucks High School students volunteered their time to safely gather non-perishable food items, new clothing for children and adults, and monetary donations for this essential nonprofit that is a life-saving resource in our region.

The ongoing promotion of this event, plus the extraordinary outpouring of support from local businesses such as the College HUNKS Hauling Junk & Moving Bucks County, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox and Roach, Villa Capri Pizza, Univest, and Simply Fresh by McCaffrey’s, was pivotal in helping the chapter raise funds and necessary supplies presently needed by A Woman’s Place.

“We wanted to hold an event that would provide our chapter’s executive leadership committee and members with the opportunity to raise awareness, funds, and donations for our charity partner, A Woman’s Place. We are absolutely grateful for the extraordinary level of generosity from people throughout our community before, during, and after this donation drive,” said Cindy Seaner, Community Outreach Director of the BW NICE Bucks County Chapter.

Since April of last year, A Woman’s Place has witnessed over a 40% increase of domestic violence crisis calls as well as a higher demand for support services.
