I live in Langhorne with my husband and a dog named Tip. I have 2 daughters who I love and drive me nuts at the same time. My older daughter, son in law , and grandson live in nearby in Levittown. My younger daughter is studying Pre-Physician Assistant at IUP, and is a member of Delta Phi Epsilon.

I was in the auto industry before deciding to stay home and raise my daughters. For 17 years I volunteered for school, CYO, church and all activities my girls were involved with. Being able to give back to the community was a gift I learn from my Mother.

After I turned 50, I was looking to find myself again. My youngest was going off to college and it was time for me to do something new. I wanted to make sure my daughter was prepared to defend herself on a college campus, so I took her to a self defense workshop. Little did I know, I was guided towards my new path.

This is where I found Damsel In Defense. A company whose foundation is Equip, Empower, Educate on Safety. The mission is to change the statistics. I am truly blessed to have the chance helping others. I have since gone on to become a Certified Safety Instructor. Through meeting others in this new life of mine I have been blessed in so many ways. One was being invited to a BW NICE meeting.

I was so excited to learn the Bucks County chapter supports the work of A Woman’s Place. They do amazing work in the community and have helped so many. It was a match for my values and mission. I was so humbled, I not only joined at my first meeting, I volunteered to be on the Leadership Team as Program Director for the chapter. As we are growing I stepped up for Red Shoe and worked with our team for our first event, our Nice on Ice. Now stepping into the shoes as President I am excited to keep working this amazing group of women, and hoping to keep it growing and strong!
