Elizabeth Powell
Vice President/Communications Director

After working 70 hour weeks for nearly 30 years, Elizabeth decided it was time for a change.  In 2015 she decided to venture out on her own and purchased a “Healthy” vending machine business, The Happy Snacker. After five years of hard work, it has flourished into a profitable business.

In 2018, Elizabeth realized that she needed to start to make her health a priority. With her energy levels at an all time low and her weight at an all time high she began on a journey that would truly be life changing. In September she found a program that finally worked and had such a dramatic transformation (70 lb loss in six and a half months AND has kept if off for another 18 months) that friends and family asked her to coach them as well.

After finally achieving her health and weight goals, Elizabeth decided that she wanted to help and inspire others to do the same.  In January of 2019 she decided to become a health and lifestyle coach and in July of the same year received her certification through Villanova’s Center for Obesity Prevention and Education (COPE).  Helping others break the chains of unhealthy choices has become such a passion for her that in October of 2019, she decided to do it full time.  Elizabeth decided  to hand over her vending machine business to her husband and focus 100% of her time to help others truly change their lives.  Other than her family, it has been the most rewarding and fulfilling experience of her life.

Having worked for, and later with, the Morris County Chamber of Commerce and having led the local chapter of the Xerox Women’s Alliance, she knew that getting involved again in community networking was something she wanted to rejoin.

Part of spreading the word and helping others take charge of their lives, required that Elizabeth expand her network and reach more people within her local community, so she joined BW NICE of Hunterdon.  What an amazing group of women!  Elizabeth now wants to help other women become the dominant force in their own lives and for those around them.
