During my 20+ years as a practicing physician, I saw just how complex and frustrating the healthcare system can be. When my father was diagnosed with a serious illness, I understood on a deeper level the overwhelming stress that accompanies the illness of a loved one. Fortunately, I had the medical knowledge, experience, and (thanks to my recent retirement from practicing medicine) time to ensure my dad got the care he needed. But I realized that most people don’t have the advantages of a medical degree and spare time to deal with the healthcare system.

As a physician and independent health advocate, I use my professional and personal experience to help my clients understand their health conditions and treatments and to improve communication with their medical team. I can schedule/coordinate appointments, find the right physicians and facilities to meet your particular needs, prepare you for appointments, speak directly with your providers, and even accompany you to medical appointments (in person or virtually).

As a retired pediatrician, I am passionate about teaching adolescents and young adults how to manage their own health when they are preparing to leave home. I offer special healthcare navigation packages to prepare adolescents/young adults and their parents to make this transition.
