“A new day is on the horizon!” Oprah’s historic speech at the 2018 Golden Globes left me moved, as I am sure it did for so many. On the heels of the #MeToo movement and now Times Up initiative, it has been inspiring and motivating to see the amazing power of women when we join together.
The last year often felt like one wave of bad news after another, and so many stories centered on the challenges women continue to face in the workplace, and outside office walls. These stories would often leave me feeling determined to make a change but unsure where to even begin. I am honored to lead BWNICE Mercer County as President and have found that our forum is perfectly designed to address all issues we face as women. My role has given me ownership over my power to enact change.
For those of us involved in BWNICE, we have already witnessed the power women hold as a united group. And for those who have yet to discover our organization, we are what so many women are looking for – a place to belong, a place to find camaraderie, a place to make connections and a place to make a difference.
If you too have been inspired by the movement for change, BWNICE Mercer is seeking new members of our leadership committee. We welcome women of all professional backgrounds to our leadership team as we aim to expand our reach to the businesswomen of Mercer and increase awareness of BWNICE and our partnership with domestic violence agencies.
We welcome all to attend our monthly breakfast meetings, held the second Monday of the month at Salt Creek Grille in Princeton, NJ. Our meetings are a chance to get to know BWNICE and come together to discuss a variety of topics affecting businesswomen. Our speakers bring inspiration & education month after month!
Find your place in this new day, find your place with BWNICE!
