Noelle Boyd is a senior-level strategic communications executive with more than 17 years’ experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical and policy sectors. She is the Principal of NBD Public Relations, a communications consultancy formed in 2010 that specializes in the development of strategic external and internal communications programs, including corporate and executive positioning; issues/crisis management counsel and support; scientific and data communications; FDA approval and launch planning; key opinion leader and researcher relationship management; disease awareness programming; internal communications and government, media and advocacy relations.
As a consultant, Noelle has had large pharmaceutical clients such as Sanofi and Novartis, as well as biotech clients such as Allos, Dendreon and Regeneron, to name a few.
Noelle previously was Senior Director of Product and Scientific Communications at Sanofi, where she led a team of communicators who developed and executed all internal and external communications efforts for the cardiovascular, metabolism, oncology and primary care brands (including Taxotere®, Eloxatin®, Plavix®, Lantus®, Lovenox®, Ambien®, Xyzal®, among others). In her role, she was the lead communicator supporting the Chief Commercial Officer. Noelle was also an active participant on the senior, five-member Social Media Taskforce, which developed guidelines for commercial engagement in social media in the highly regulated pharmaceutical industry.
Prior to joining Sanofi, she worked in positions of increasing responsibility at three public relations agencies in New York. Noelle provided scientific communications counsel, media and advocacy relations and issues/crisis management support for brands in the therapeutic areas of oncology, women’s health, dermatology, HIV, immunology, virology, allergy and medical devices. Her clients included top pharmaceutical, medical device and biotech companies such as Sanofi, Roche, Novartis, Organon, Philips Medical Systems and CSL Behring.
Noelle began her career in Washington, DC in the White House, Office of the President, Press Office.
Noelle holds a Bachelor of Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Government from The University of Texas at Austin.
